Abstract

Yoga, an ancient practice originating in India, has gained widespread popularity globally for its potential health benefits. This paper explores current scientific research into the physiological and psychological effects of yoga, aiming to provide a comprehensive understanding of its impact on human well-being. Through a review of recent studies and meta-analyses, this paper examines how yoga influences various physiological systems, such as the musculoskeletal, cardiovascular, respiratory, and nervous systems, as well as its psychological effects on mental health, stress reduction, and cognitive function. The findings highlight yoga as a promising adjunct therapy for promoting physical health, mental well-being, and overall quality of life.
