Abstract

Rampur Pond in Durg District, 21°15'35"N 81°30'06" E, is being studied using an of physicochemical parameters The pH, Total Dissolved Solids (TDS), Hardness, Biochemical Oxygen Demands (BOD5), Chemical Oxygen Demands (COD), Turbidity, and Alkalinity of river water were all examined. The physicochemical analysis was extensively carried out on each sample using known standard methods. The results of this analysis point out the fact that all the parameters are within the permissible limits prescribed by WHO, ICMR, and BIS drinking water standards which indicate that the water quality of Kolura pond is good and can be used for domestic, irrigation, and drinking purposes.
