A STUDY ON FINANCIAL PERFORMANCE OF CEMENT CORPORATION OF INDIA (CCI) LIMITED

Abstract

The role played by the cement industry is a prominent one in the Indian economy. The cement industry facilitates the operations of the basic infrastructure facility to develop the country. The cement industry of India is the second largest industry globally, second only after China. This study attempts to evaluate India’s cement industry’s financial performance. It gives a special reference to the Cement Corporation of India Limited (CCI). The evaluation of the financial performance is done via financial ratios. The company’s liquidity position will be evaluated via short-term solvency ratios. Earning performance is evaluated via profitability ratios. A number of other financial and statistical tools and techniques are also used to check the holistic financial condition of the company.
