Abstract

The Indian healthcare sector has witnessed substantial growth in recent years, spurred by increasing demand for quality services, technological advancements, and an expanding middle class. However, entrepreneurs in this space face various challenges, including regulatory hurdles, infrastructure limitations, and funding constraints. This paper aims to qualitatively explore the challenges and opportunities that healthcare entrepreneurs encounter in India, using in-depth interviews and case studies of successful entrepreneurs. The study explores factors such as government policies, healthcare infrastructure, access to funding, and market demand, along with entrepreneurial strategies for overcoming these challenges. The findings suggest that while there are significant opportunities in the Indian healthcare market, there remains a pressing need for systemic reforms and better support mechanisms for entrepreneurs.
