Abstract

This article presents a torque ripple minimization technique for permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM). For torque ripple minimization a fuzzy logic controller is used. The proposed controller is used to control a PMSM. The dynamic response of the PMSM with the proposed controller is studied during the starting and  under loaded conditions.  The effectiveness of the proposed fuzzy logic controller with FOC is then compared with other conventional controllers. Experimental results are presented to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed control scheme.
