Investment plays a pivotal role in personal financial growth and economic stability. It allows individuals to accumulate wealth, achieve financial goals, and secure their future. For government employees, who typically have stable incomes and job security, making informed investment decisions is crucial to maximize returns and ensure long-term financial well-being. Effective investment strategies help in managing inflation, generating additional income, and preparing for unforeseen expenses. Furthermore, a well-planned investment portfolio can provide financial independence post-retirement and support significant life goals such as children's education and homeownership. This study investigates the investment behaviour of government employees in Gujarat, examining how demographic factors such as gender, age, and years of experience influence their financial decisions. Utilizing a sample size of 100 individuals, the research identifies key trends and preferences in their investment strategies. The findings reveal a significant association between demographic profiles and investment behaviour, highlighting varying levels of confidence, risk tolerance, and financial priorities among different groups. Male employees generally show higher confidence in making investment decisions, younger employees prioritize home purchases, and more experienced employees emphasize saving for children's education. These insights are crucial for developing targeted financial products and educational programs that cater to the specific needs of government employees in Gujarat.
