TO STUDY THE NON-PERFORMING ASSETS OF SELECTED BANKS OF INDIA

Abstract


World economy is passing through some intricate circumstances as bankruptcy of banking & financial institutions, debt crisis in major economies of the world and euro zone crisis. In present scenario NPAs are at the core of financial problem of the banks. Concrete efforts have to be made to improve recovery performance. Measures required to be undertaken are mainly two fold. Banks should make efforts first to avoid fresh addition on NPAs by their effective presentation appraisal and secondly to recover the amount from accounts which have already turned bad. In this study researcher has taken 3 banks of India, NPAs of these 3 banks have been analysed for the years 2015-16 to 2019-20.
